Key For Altitude P38 AND THE SPEED OF SOUMD!?

P38 AND THE SPEED OF SOUMD!? - key for altitude

I've heard for years that many older drivers P38 LARGE evaporation and a full dive P38 hold crossed the sound barrier. Nobody believe that could happen to this or that? Cap lock key never locked Sawit sorry

No level flight of a P-38J was allowed a maximum of 425 km / h in backup power in the fight against the special 150-octane fuel. The average speed of sound is 700 km per hour. You can near the trans-sonic region were at a high speed dive, but I doubt that anyone the wall "sound has expired", even if they exceed Vne.

Here is a great P-38 Page: http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/p ...

Some pilots have the feeling that the sound barrier in the way that the aircraft responds exceeded. But basically, a propeller plane can not break the sound barrier. The ends of the helix, breaking the sound barrier first because they are in rotation, and finally to increase its speed. The shock waves generated by the efficiency of the propeller, the slowing down of the aircraft. In essence, not aerodynamics. But in this type of airspeed Shake, Rattle and monitors will be difficult.

possible, but unlikely, that actually crossed the sound barrier and survive.

swept aircraft do not need to break the sound barrier - is just one more chance to survive.

P38 a flying at 30,000 or 35,000 meters could certainly very close, or even the sound barrier as he break into free fall. However, most if not all of them broke the wall, probably or crashed because of the loss of the ability to control the aircraft exceeded.

Remember that the amount is easier to break the sound barrier by accident - a plane does not need to 700 mph indicated airspeed, trips to the speed of sound. at 35,000 ft, 670 mph true speed would be something around Mach 1.01, which is faster than the speed of sound (or some people say it is transonic)

You misunderstood. or been the involvement of the local sound speed (in some points on the surface, the amount of air is flying faster than the aircraft itself.
or did they? Compressibility? Border, where before they reach the speed of sound, starts to change the control function.

(near the M1 motorway, the aircraft control surfaces ack old started the intended function - pulling the nose down. to stand characteristics of the supersonic flow in context.

I really do not know at the P-38. When I found no evidence. The only aircraft to find that that was not intended to become supersonic could, breaking the sound barrier was a DC-8 aircraft.

No way. The sound velocity was greater during the Second World War, when Hitler strengthened the Sonic Wall.
